Serves 6
1 t Ground cinnamon Mix the spices
1 t Ground coriander
1 t Dried rosemary
1 t Ground cloves
1 t Ground turmeric
1 t Dried dill
1 t Dried sage
1 t Ground cumin
1 Onion Chop the onion
2 cloves Garlic Mince the garlic
1 T Olive Oil Heat a large saucepan and add the oil
<chopped onion> Add the onion and sauté until translucent
<garlic> Add the garlic and sauté briefly until translucent
1 cup Dried Split Peas Add the peas, stock, and water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer
1 cup Chicken Stock
1 cup Water
<spices> Add the spices, salt and pepper
1 t Salt (or to taste) Simmer an additional 15 minutes
¼ t Black pepper (or to taste)
Olive Oil Before serving, drizzle with a little olive oil
