Below is a weekly plan of official club sessions for members.
Club sessions have designated leaders and are available to membership of NKC - but see any restrictions or comments about the suitability of the sessions.
All other sessions are for members who train together with no designated leader and nobody responsible for the safety of members of the group. These sessions do not have a risk assessment and so are not classed as "club sessions". Members should only go to these sessions if they understand this and are competent to look after themselves and their equipment in the event of a capsize or other mishap and to be able to get themselves back to safety. It cannot be assumed that there will be coaches at these sessions taking responsibility for them. Neither the club nor any of its members are responsible for these sessions Do remember however, that one of the most important rules of Marathon Racing is that all paddlers must render assistance to a fellow paddler that needs it.
Whichever sessions you attend, please check the conditions expected at the club on the page for Conditions. This is prepared from forecasts by the Environment agency, BBC Weather & XCWeather.com and adjusted to apply to paddling at the club using over 50 years experience. If in any doubt all paddlers should consult a coach.
Please find below a list of suggested sessions that are available. See list of forthcoming events on the club noticeboard.
If unlocking the boathouse, please lock the padlock back onto the hasp.
Please find attached a reduced list of sessions for this coming week but with two possible races next weekend.
