The Positive Expiratory Pressure Device is a type of physiotherapy that consists of a one-way valve that measures the pressure of the exhalation. This could be used as a possible solution for testing the NED as one of the criteria is to measure exhalation pressure.
This device would be able to create the pressure build-up in the sinus region similar to what the NED is trying to accomplish.
This device is similar in function to the NED and would therefore not be able to measure baseline values.
