You must have reasonable suspicion before:
Stopping a vehicle

Definition: Reasonable suspicion means you have factual and objective reasons to believe a person may be involved in criminal activity. It canโt be based on a "hunch" or bias.
Example: Smelling drugs, visibly stolen property, matching BOLO description.
You may search a person or vehicle under these conditions:
With consent (verbally recorded)
Following a lawful arrest
If you have reasonable grounds (e.g. drug activity)
