The goal of this section is to provide you with clear, correct, and realistic guidance on how to:
Deliver a proper caution
Execute a lawful arrest
Handle a detainee from point of contact to processing
These procedures apply to every officer in North PD — no matter your rank. Failing to follow them could result in voided charges, poor RP, or disciplinary action.
You must caution a suspect:
Before questioning them about a suspected crime
Immediately upon arrest
If you're detaining without arrest (e.g. during a stop and search)
Standard Caution:
"You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention, when questioned, something you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence. Do you understand the rights that have been read to you? Would you like a lawyer?"

Identify Yourself
“This is [Your Rank + Name] with the North Police Department.”
State the Grounds for Arrest
“You are under arrest for [Offence].”
Deliver the Caution (as shown above)
Apply Handcuffs & Search
Secure the suspect
Search for weapons, contraband, or stolen goods
Confiscate illegal items
Escort the Suspect
Use proper transport (State 9 on radio)
Keep radio communication clear
Avoid unnecessary delays or detours
Once back at the station:
Take a mugshot
Transport suspect to the cells and wait for lawyer if applicable
If no lawyer is needed, use the F10 police computer and count the charges and send them to jail via the "jail" tab.Â
Hand off to custody if applicable
Ensure evidence is stored or logged properly
No “cop-baiting” arrests. If you can't articulate why you're arresting someone, don't do it.
Always roleplay every step. Use /me if needed.
Keep it immersive. No rushing or skipping key steps.
If they flee, you may pursue but must call it in over radio and follow pursuit protocols.
