Chain of Command

The Chain of Command exists to maintain discipline, ensure accountability, and provide clarity on authority within the North PD. Following it ensures smooth operations, fairness in conflict resolution, and protection for every officer — from PPC to Commissioner. 

PPCs and PCs report to Sergeants (SGT).

Sergeants report to Inspectors (INSP).

Inspectors report to Chief Inspectors (C/INSP) or Superintendent (SUPT) depending on chain status.

Strategic decisions and reforms escalate up to the Commissioner (COMM) via Deputy Commissioner (DC).

Bypassing the Chain of Command without cause can result in disciplinary action. Always try to resolve issues with your direct superior unless:

• It involves corruption or abuse of power.

• You’re instructed by a higher-ranking officer to report directly.

• It is a Code 0 / Emergency situation.
