The Empowerment Studio, a component of University of Tsukuba's Program in Empowerment Informatics, boasts the world's largest Virtual Reality system, the "Large Space." This cutting-edge facility has garnered recognition for its innovative research in the field, particularly its crown jewel, the "Large Space." The "Large Space" is a large-scale experimental module that projects three-dimensional images onto all surrounding walls and floor surfaces, equipped with motion capture technology and a motion base. This state-of-the-art system can track the movement of people and objects within its vast expanse, thereby creating a realistic illusion of motion and movement within the virtual world.
