From Airports to Tsukuba

From Tokyo International Airport (HND)

Route by train (recommended)

First, take the monorail from Haneda Airport Terminal 3 station to Hamamatsucho station. Next, take the JR train from Hamamatsucho station to Akihabara station. Finally, take the TX train from Akihabara station to Tsukuba station. The total fare for the entire trip is 1,864 yen using Suica.

Route by bus (possibility of guidance in Japanese only)

Take a bus from bus stop number 12, 13, or 9 and head to the last stop. The fare is 2,000 yen.

From HND to Tsukuba center

From Narita International Airport (NRT)

Route by bus

Take a bus from bus stop number 8, 10, or 11 and get off at Tsukuba Center. Tsukuba Center is the next bus stop after Narita Airport Terminal 1. The fare is 2,400 yen.

Route by train

First, take the Keisei Narita SKY ACCESS Line from Narita Airport Terminal 2 3 station to Higashi-Matsudo station. Next, take the JR train from Higashi-Matsudo station to Minami-Nagareyama station. Finally, take the TX train from Minami-Nagareyama station to Tsukuba station. The total fare for the entire trip is 1,969 yen using Suica.
