Final Presentation
This NEW, half year class blends traditional art making practices with advertising and marketing concepts, helping students build real world skills that will be applicable in a range of professions (not just art, advertising, or marketing) or academic settings (like college applications).
I will utilize NYS Art Standards for Visual Arts and my professional background to educate students on basic branding, advertising, marketing, and design principles & concepts. Students will work in groups and independently to produce several key projects using digital media (i.e. Canva, Google Site) and other art materials (colored pencil, markers, collage, etc). Projects will include:
concert poster or album art
school t-shirt or logo design
tourism brochure
personal website that can be made live for professional or for academic use

2026 Project Archive
Projects descriptions are moved to this area, after the due date has passed. Late work is still accepted! Please communicate with Mrs. Lynch, if you need more time for project completion due to illness... or if you're just really taking your time to submit great work! Full credit may still be available, on a case by case basis.
Professional Inspo Mood Board
Students will learn about the different visual elements used in branding (i.e. color palette, font/typography). They will then choose a professional person they admire -- it could be a sports figure, a pop star, a local business owner, a favorite teacher... anyone! Students will use Canva to create a Mood Board that defines their chosen professional, briefly presenting the final visual to the class.
Who Am I?
Quick Personal Brand Poster
Students will complete self-reflection activities (i.e. Enneagram tests) to help identify their personal and professional "brand." They will then create imagery to visually represent these characteristics in a quick poster design, using their choice of traditional drawing material (i.e. colored pencils, pen, marker). Students will use these "sketches" to guide them when creating a personal or professional website, later in the semester.
