Summary: A case study on designing the complete user journey for a leading fitness app. I designed the entire marketing and content website to attract new users, and the seamless mobile onboarding flow to convert them into paying customers.Â
I designed this free "BMR Calculator" as a high-value tool. It answers a user's key question first, then provides a strong call-to-action to download the app and track their calories.
To capture organic search traffic, I designed a comprehensive "Exercise Library" for the website. This content hub acts as a major top-of-funnel acquisition channel for the mobile app.
The web exercise pages were designed for clarity, prioritizing the 3D animation and providing scannable instructions. This builds brand trust and reinforces the app's quality.
I designed the app's complete onboarding and paywall flow. The goal was to clearly communicate the "Plus" membership value and drive user conversion at the point of highest intent.
Designed a Complete Funnel: Successfully designed the full user journey, from discovery on the web (via the BMR tool or exercise library) to conversion (via the mobile paywall).
Created High-Value Tools: The BMR calculator and Exercise Library established the website as a free resource, driving significant organic traffic and lead generation for the app.
Optimized for Conversion: The mobile onboarding and paywall flow I designed proved highly effective, clearly communicating value and converting free users to paid subscribers.
Unified Brand Experience: I created a seamless and consistent design system across both the website and the mobile app, ensuring a single, trustworthy brand experience for the user.
