Firril did her best to help Runa all the way to the end, but she couldn't stop old age from claiming her friend. As Runa died, Firril completed a mission to erase the complete records of Roald's expedition to keep it out of the hands of the Scions.

Another machine repaired by Runa on Diamond Peak to act as a protector from anyone who tried to invade the island. Gary's favorite phrase is 'By Stone and Fury.' After meeting Ortega and his crew, he met his end fighting Prince Bibi, but not before he bisected the prince. At the end of the volume he is taken by Firril into the mines to hide from the Military Police until they are gone.

A woman who lived on Diamond Peak for over thirty years guarding Roald's secrets. She has bouts of dementia throughout the volume and is unable to think clearly enough to give away any real secrets about Roald's expedition. She meets her end peacefully in her sleep after trying to slow down Captain Frank Drake and Grayson from pursing Ortega and his crew.

A reporter from the WDP who was assigned to cover Prince Bibi's hunt. She found out quickly into the expedition that she had bitten off more than she could chew, and that her life would be on the line regardless of what happened during the expedition. Teaming up with Li 'Cold Shot' Wen, the two women escaped Bibi's clutches and escaped the island with Ortega and his crew.

Chief of the Sky

One of the three Chiefs of the Military Police, Adhira, is known as the Chief of the Sky and has a curse based around lightning. She appeared at the close of events on Cragg Hollow aboard a Dreadnaught to destroy the island by summoning a Scion. She reappears in Volume Five to have a meeting with the Scions about Roald's message.

Chief of the Ground

The Chief of the Ground, he appears in the meeting with the Scions and has command over the Core, which is the area comprising the Twelve Kingdoms.

Chief of the Sea

The Chief of the Sea, he appears in the meeting with the Scions and has command over the Dark Meridian.
