I like lights and making them. We need the light they produce to see the things around us and they themselves should be something to look at.
I found this interesting material in a paper store and thought it would make a great shade. I used translucent material to make an inner shade as I didn't want to have the bulb directly visible. The three legs were to be symmetrical so I created a bending jig. Copper water pipe was bent and cut to form the legs. Smaller copper pipe was rolled to make the support rings for the shades. The pieces were brazed together. A lamp socket was wired and one of the legs used as conduit.
