My brother hangs out with friends in the basement. I thought it would be great for him to have a lighted sign for him to hang above his bar.
I came up with the idea of a lighted sign with copper accents. I cut the named pieces out of copper using an oxy-acetylene torch using the high heat to create a jagged and rough edge. The frame was made from copper water pipe and fittings. The lamp sockets were made from larger fittings and drilled to accept a three thumb screws for holding the cut bottles. The hardest part was pulling the wire through the tubes after it was brazed together.Â

The light has had several homes and this is it's latest. Some of the lamp shades broke over the years and one was retrofitted with a JD whiskey bottle.
