Through NHMEC, completing diploma courses can connect individuals with third-party agencies such as AANC, AANWP, ULC, & etc. which are certified and board certification agencies, as acknowledged by the founder.
Herbalism is not recognized as a health care modality in Kentucky or nationally in 2024. As a result, there is no state or national licensing for herbal practitioners.
Here in the United States, there is not a federally recognized, licensed path for becoming a certified herbalist but 3rd party agencies that will board certify you through there membership.
The American Herbalists Guild is s national registration agency, alongside multiple third-party accreditation agencies that offer membership accreditation, and those that offer registration like the Christian Herbalist Guild, or now the Natural health Ministries Education Center.
Only traditional state-licensed doctors in Kentucky can use the acronym ND. Massage Therapists, Acupuncturists, and Aromatherapists conducting hands-on therapy must also be licensed by the state of Kentucky.
