Nwyfre means the thread that links together the human world with the divine one.
Nwyfre (pronounced "NOOiv-ruh") is not an ancient druidic word. Nwyfre is related to the fairy word, which means "sky" or "heaven."
Most people nowadays think of elements. The four druid known elements are Earth, Water, Fire and Air. These four elements are often expanded with the addition of a fifth element called ETHER or SPIRIT. Chinese philosophers uses a different set of five elements: wood, metal, fire, water, and earth. Each of these systems has its strengths and weaknesses, and fits certain traditions of practice better than others. Many traditions, in turn, make use of more than one set of elemental symbols.
According to Druids, everything in the universe is made up of some combination of the elements. As an element, Nwyfre is the mental dimension, the expansion of the source of life and consciousness and we often refer to it simply as the life force.
