At Newmarket OSHC, our Educators are central to all that we do. We are continually looking for passionate and committed individuals to become part of our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) team.
We’re looking for enthusiastic, caring, and qualified OSHC Educators to join our friendly team. These roles start as casual, with a strong opportunity to transition into permanent part-time for the right candidates. As an OSHC Educator, you’ll:
Create a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for school-aged children
Plan and facilitate fun activities aligned with the My Time, Our Place framework
Support children’s wellbeing, development and positive behaviour
Work collaboratively with a supportive and passionate team
Communicate effectively with children, families and colleagues
Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators, staff and management to deliver best outcomes for families and children
Contribute to the educational program under the direction of the Educational Leader/s and Responsible Person in Charge to provide a high-quality program for all children
Assist with the smooth running of the room in line with relevant regulations, policies and procedures under the direction of the Responsible Person in Charge.

A genuine passion for working with primary school-aged children
Experience in OSHC, childcare, education or a similar setting
Relevant qualifications (or working towards), such as Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services or other equivalent approved Educator qualifications: https://www.acecqa.gov.au/qualifications/nqf-approved
Valid and current paid Working With Children Check/Blue Card
First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training (or willingness to obtain)
Reliability, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
Demonstrated knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, Education and Care Services National Law (2010), and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), Family Assistance Law (Child Care Subsidy 2018).
Openness to consider and accept the role of Responsible Person under the Education and Care Services National Law Application Bill 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations, where training has been provided, and endorsement of the leadership team has been granted.
