Welcome to our community

The Languages Network is led by Chafika Bensadok, who has extensive experience as a language teacher, former Borough Lead Teacher, and current Languages Community Lead. She is passionate about supporting language educators. Joining a languages community offers valuable opportunities to share best practice, access professional development, collaborate with colleagues, and gain inspiration that strengthens teaching, drives curriculum improvement, and accelerates pupil progress and achievement.

Who is this suitable for?

Languages leaders and coordinators (Primary & Secondary)

How does it work?

This group aims to support three aspects of subject-specific teaching:

Ensuring that subject leaders understand how to support their teachers with the subject-specific leadership
Ensuring that subject leaders know how to plan and sequence a rich and engaging curriculum
Developing teachers’ subject knowledge and subject-specific pedagogy

What does it involve?

Members of this group will be able to attend three subject leader network meetings, one per term, where content is shaped by requests, professional dialogue and identified priorities.

Members of this community can access a range of materials to support this group, including access to training videos, articles and other resources.
