This group aims to support school leaders to ensure they consider equity in their provision. Unlike our communities, our special interest groups are intended for self-study. They are aimed at those with a responsibility or an interest in this aspect of education. Please look out for one-off events that support this SIG.

From the Chartered College of Teaching
As part of our four-year Mission 44-funded project, Increasing Diversity in ITT, we have developed a free certified online course in partnership with Being Luminary and Chiltern Learning Trust.
This online course, aimed at educators, leaders and mentors working in initial teacher training in UK contexts, explores the systemic barriers faced by trainees from global majority backgrounds when applying for and completing training, and provides language, tools and frameworks for embedding equity in teacher training.
Members can access this course for free and free guest membership is available to complete the programme.
You can access the programme here: https://chartered.college/diversity-in-itt-course/
