We love children and desire to provide a variety of opportunities for them to grow as a follower of Jesus.

Vacation Bible School

Our congregation has been known in our community for many, many years for our exceptional Vacation Bible School.  This Summer we will provide 3 days of Bible instruction, crafts, songs, and fun times.

Pre-Teen Events

For those 3rd-5th graders aspiring to join the Youth Group we do Pre-Teen Events throughout the year. These events include games, service activities, crafts, snacks, and tons of fun!

Children's Worship

During the sermon each Sunday morning, we provide special Bible instruction for children from age two - 4th grade. Parents may choose to have their children join them in worship but if not, they are welcome to join other children their age in lessons at their age level.

Nursery

The nursery room above the lobby is available for parents of infants and young toddlers. There is a changing table, crib, play area with a child-sized table and chairs, adjoining restroom, and rocking chairs. Parents can hear the worship service from this area that overlooks the auditorium. We are not currently scheduling nursery attendants and a parent must be present at all times when a child is in this room.

Sunday Classes

From infants to high school seniors, children of all ages have an opportunity to learn the Word of God. Some of the classes will have mixed age groups.  Classes are held throughout the building from 11:00 0 11:45 AM each Sunday.

Wednesday Classes

Mid-week classes are an important spiritual lift for all who typically live busy lives. We have youth group, a children's class (age 2 & up), and an adult class. Join us at 6:30 pm each Wednesday.

Camp Yamhill

Camp Yamhill is a major part of our Children's Ministry at the Newberg church of Christ. Our children (grades 1st-5th) participate in numerous events during the year. Check out Camp Yamhill's website for additional information.

Prayer Pals

This ministry connects our children with other members of the congregation through prayer and fellowship. Adults are paired with a student grades K-12 for the school year. Adults commit to praying for that student each week. There are also opportunities throughout the year for all the Prayer Pals to spend time in fellowship and encourage each other.
