Community Ministry

Jesus's teaching in Matthew 25 is clear that His followers are to serve others.  Below are several of our attempts to fulfill our calling.  From time-to-time, we provide additional ministry efforts for our community.

Free clothes are provided for infants to around 5th grade.  Clothes are primarily used clothing that has been donated from members of our community.  A limited amount of clothing can be given to families and individuals.  Those who receive clothing must come with a voucher provided by Love INC (503-537-399).  Hours: Wednesday, 5-6 pm. Use the entrance on Elliott Rd on the side of the building.

Love INC

We partner with Love INC to help serve our community.  Love INC is a significant resource to help us be effective in meeting a variety of needs in our community, all done In the Name of Christ.

Love INC is currently doing deliveries of necessities for their clients.  Call 503-537-3999 for information.

Dental Vans

Free dental care for adults is available through Love INC (503-537-3999). The vans serve adults who are uninsured. There is a wait list and priority is given to Love INC clients, so call their office to get a free intake appointment. (Note that those on the Oregon Health Plan are entitled to dental insurance. Contact Love INC at 503-537-3999 if you need more information.)

Dental vans from Medical Teams International provide free basic dental care (fillings, extractions) at a Newberg location, usually at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Newberg. Call Love INC for details (503-537-3999).

A dental hygiene van from Pacific University provides teeth cleaning and x-rays in Newberg at various locations, including at our building. Call Love INC for details at 503-537-3999.

Vision Clinics

Free eye exams and glasses are provided through Pacific University at an annual event, which is often hosted at our building. Call Love INC for information at 503-537-3999.

Caring for the needs of our members and community is important to us.  We do not have unlimited resources but we do try to make an attempt to either take care of the physical needs of others or point them to where they might find help.
