TRAVEL
TRAVEL
Behaviour to and from school must be courteous and co-operative. Students must follow the instructions of school prefects and Year 12 students who have a responsibility to report any unacceptable behaviour. Any report will be followed up and action taken.
In the morning and afternoon, students should travel by the most direct route to school.
Students are encouraged to walk through built up areas where they are clearly visible and not through secluded areas such as parks and lanes.
Students are not allowed to wait or go to shopping centres/districts before or after school while in school uniform unless they are accompanied by a parent or have sought written permission from a Domremy teacher.
Students who have been issued with Student Opal Travel Cards must abide by the conditions attached these cards. Transport inspectors have the right to do spot checks on buses and trains and may confiscate and/or fine any student who is misusing their Cards.
The following links provide information regarding the use of the Student Opal Travel Cards, ‘The School Student Transport Scheme’ , travel restrictions and bus routes servicing Domremy.

Buses
Many students catch buses to and from school. At Domremy, the students are fortunate to have both school specials and public buses that drop them outside the school gates. Where students have a choice of bus, they should catch the school special. To facilitate the movement onto buses of an afternoon students stay lined up within the school gates, either near First Avenue or Fairlight Street.
