DOMREMY MERIT SYSTEM
DOMREMY MERIT SYSTEM
At Domremy College we are committed to the education and development of the whole person in the Presentation tradition. We value commitment to faith, service academic achievement and involvement in co-curricular activities.
The current merit system is under review and will be updated in 2024.
The merit system is designed to assist students to achieve their potential in all of these areas so as to be a true representation of a Domremy graduand. Our hope is that all graduands of Domremy College will be well equipped to contribute to the positive transformation of the society in which they find themselves living.
The awards set out below are presented once a year at the Domremy La Verite Awards Ceremony held at the end of Term 2.
To obtain a SHINE Award, a student must receive a Commitment Certificate in each of the four categories.
3 SHINE Awards = LANTERN Award.
These awards are presented at the Domremy La Verite Awards Assembly.
For those students who may excel in one area only, a Commitment Award for that area will also be presented at the Domremy La Verite Award Assembly on the basis of 3 merits in this area, except for Learning, which requires an excellent learning profile on their school report:
Commitment to Learning - This is awarded based on a student’s learning profile in their school report. This award recognises consistent effort towards learning.
Commitment to Faith - This award recognises a student’s consistent commitment to their faith.
Commitment to Co-Curricular - This award recognises a student’s consistent commitment to co-curricular activities offered at the College.
Commitment to Service - This award recognises a student’s consistent commitment to the service of others
