STUDENT LEADERSHIP
STUDENT LEADERSHIP
At Domremy we encourage all our students to participate in processes that make the world a better place. It is important for a school to have a structure in place that allows students the opportunities to show leadership within both the school community and the community at large. These opportunities should not be restricted to just senior students. That is why Domremy College has a Student Representative Council (SRC), which is made up of elected representatives across the school.
As well as providing opportunities, the College believes in supporting student leaders by organising Leadership Camps and Leadership Training days. The days are designed to help make potential leaders into effective leaders.
It is the aim of Domremy College to provide young women with the training, opportunities and experience which will give them confidence to take on leadership roles in the future.
Structure of Student Leadership
Under Domremy's structure of Student leadership, we have a College Captain and College Vice Captains, who are assisted by each of the Year 12 Prefects who in turn have a specific area of the College that is their responsibility.
The College also has a House System which is the responsibility of each House Captain (Year 12) and Vice Captain (Year 11).
The Student Representative Council (SRC) Representatives are democratically elected by their peers to act as an advocate for the student body. There is one junior representative from Years 8 and 9 and one senior representative from Years 10 to 12.
