Aeryn and Rayne
‘The wheel has turned’ Mae’r olwyn wedi troi in Aeryn Llewelyn’s favor. At last released from hardships of child labor, Aeryn is offered paid work to aid in restoring a run-down farm into a viable, agricultural enterprise. Upon first arriving at Pendyrbridge Farm, located in the Clwydian Hills of North Wales, Aeryn encounters a servant girl, Rayne, setting off perplexing turmoil within him. In addition, all is not as originally promised when Aeryn undertakes the tasks required of him at Pendyrbridge Farm.
A sudden catastrophic cruelty drives Aeryn from the farm, young Rayne in tow. Fighting despair, Aeryn delves deeper into his orphaned past. But his search seems to isolate him further, compromising his well-being, questioning his sanity. Internal clouds thicken, innermost horizons, dim.
Yet, as the Welsh proverb gently alludes… ‘the sun will shine on the hill again’ daw eto haul ar fryn …might illuminating truths yet await?
