Plot Summary of Troupe

A ghostly theatrical tale, set in 17th century England—follows a troupe of four actors who seek to earn their livelihood by entertaining through story, music, and dance. Unfortunate circumstances had brought them together after a plague outbreak in 1665; yet the traveling band takes heart, and with courage and sparkling wit—create rollicking shows to gladden their audience.

As cold weather approaches, the troupe searches for a secured position that may provide direly needed food and shelter. After a chance meeting on West England’s wild coast, it seems that their wishes will be realized. Yet, upon first arrival at a mist enshrouded manor—strange sightings hint that something is eerily amiss.

Terrifying and bizarre events escalate, until the troupe fear for their lives. But, mustering collective bravery alongside other residents of the manor, secrets emerge that lead to a remarkable discovery,  at last lifting the curtain on a centuries-old mystery—both deeply disturbing and poignantly enlightening.  

The actors, together with their newfound friendsdevelop an extraordinary play that reveals this solved mystery; a performance that not only bursts with music, word, and dance—but serves to share heart-wrenching pathos and pure vindicating truths.
