Plot Summary of Sorens

The Soren surname seems to be the only tie between disparate family members: Two daughters live with their aunt in Illinois; a father and two sons inhabit rugged Southern Utah; and a mother resides in a separate hidden place. In the spring of 1885, a journey begins across the American countryside in an effort to reunite and repair the great rift caused by physical distance and unexplained past events.

Restraint from the influence of the Victorian mindset, baffling personality conflicts, and the terror of a sudden violent act, culminate in humble recognition and acceptance of what home and family really mean.
