Each Neeley student is assigned an academic advisor. Students admitted in the Summer or Fall will be assigned an advisor by July. You can find your designated advisor through your my.TCU.edu portal.

Advising Options
✅ Advising by Appointment
Schedule a 30-minute individual appointment with your advisor to discuss academic goals. Scheduling links are provided by your assigned advisor each semester.
✅ Walk-In Advising
Meet with a Neeley advisor for a 10–15 minute session to address urgent questions. Each advisor will have designated walk-in hours throughout the semester. The first week of every semester is open for walk-ins for all students.
✅ Schedule Building Workshop
Attend a group session to learn about first-year requirements and lower-division business requirements.
✅ Drop-In Peer Advising
Connect with a Neeley Navigator in the Neeley Academic Advising office for quick questions throughout the semester.

All Academic Advisors are trained the same and able to assist any student with advising needs.
You must obtain permission through the Transfer Credit Request process before taking courses outside of TCU for credit.
HOW TO SUBMIT A TRANSFER CREDIT REQUEST:
1) Go to my.tcu.edu > Academic Records> Transfer Credit
2) From the drop down list, select Request Transfer Credit.
3) Carefully read and follow all instructions
4) You will receive email notification of approval or denial once processing is complete.

Transfer Credit Guidelines:
Prior Approval Requirement – Only courses approved in advance by the Neeley School of Business will apply toward the BBA degree. Requests submitted after course completion will be denied.
Business Course Requirements – All Neeley-specific courses (Upper and Lower Division; major, minor, and certificate) must be taken at TCU.
Neeley Advancement –
Business students in their Neeley major classes may transfer courses only from an accredited 4-year university.
Business students taking TCU Core and Business Core (but not yet in their Neeley major classes) may take courses at a 2-year institution or community college.
TCU Core Classes –
If admitted before Summer 2024, Global Awareness, Cultural Awareness, and Citizenship/Social Values requirements cannot be transferred.
If admitted Fall 2024 or later, these requirements may be transferred.
Maximum Transfer Hours – After enrolling at TCU, students may transfer a maximum of 16 semester hours (or up to 4 courses) from other schools, excluding approved TCU study abroad programs. Neeley does not accept Semester at Sea credits except for free electives.
Transfer Grade Requirement – A minimum grade of C- is required in transfer courses for TCU credit.
Residency Requirements – Students must complete at least 58 credit hours at TCU, with at least 42 hours at the upper level (30000–50000).
Final 30 Hours Requirement – The last 30 hours of degree requirements must be completed at TCU. All transfer credits must be on the student’s record before their final semester.
LDR GPA – Grades from Lower-Division Requirement (LDR) courses transferred in will count toward the Neeley LDR GPA. Eligible LDR courses include:
ENGL 10803- English Composition I
ECON 10223- Microeconomics
ECON 10233- Macroeconomics
MATH 10283 or MATH 10524- Applied Calculus or Calculus I
Course Repeats – Courses taken at TCU may not be repeated away from TCU.
Transcript Submission – Students must request an official transcript from the other institution within 5 days of course completion. Send transcripts to:
