Early Intervention Service Provision

This section focuses primarily on the early intervention services provided through the Early Development Network (EDN), the organization responsible for coordinating federally-mandated early intervention services to all children who qualify in the state of Nebraska. Early intervention service providers are the professionals who work with the children and families on a regular basis to achieve the outcomes and goals identified in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and include early childhood special education teachers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, and speech-language pathologists.

The pages in this section serve to inform those involved in early intervention (including families and early intervention professionals) about who is working with the children and families, what they are doing, how laws frame their work with families and children, and the commonly accepted best practice principles for them to follow.
