The process of receiving Early Intervention Services can seem like a whirlwind with several home visits and papers to be signed. This can be very overwhelming to families and to early intervention staff who are new to early intervention and are learning the ropes. Below is a flow chart of the general Early Intervention Process that is easy to follow. Along with the chart is a corresponding glossary of each step in the process . This tool may also be helpful to pass along to families that you begin working with to show them what to expect. While this tool is beneficial to families who are trying to understand the process, it may also be overwhelming to see the whole process at once. Because of this, it is wise to use your judgement in how to best introduce the process to families.
