Campus Setting

Description:

The main campus, Lantan campus, is named for its location, surrounded by Lantan Lake to the northwest. This campus is located in a suburban area with high forest cover and is in the East District of Chiayi City. Linsen campus also belongs to the East District, and Sinmin campus belongs to the West District, the urban fringe of Chiayi City.  Minsyong campus is located in a suburban area of Chiayi County (Link 1). The population densities of Chiayi City and Chiayi County are 4,358.01 and 248.57 inhabitants per km² (Link 2).  Luliao Village, where the Lantan campus is located, has the smallest population density (291.56 inhabitants per km²) in the eastern district of Chiayi City (Link 3).  Both the Sinmin and Linsen campuses are located on the edge of Meiyuan and Taiping Village in Chiayi City, with population densities of 5,576.85 and 4,502.75 inhabitants per km²(Link 3), respectively.  The population density of Minsyong Township, where the Minsyong campus is located, is 1365.44 inhabitants per km²(Link 4).  Whether on the suburban or urban fringe, transportation to each campus is quite convenient.
