RESEARCH INTERESTS
Our research interests are in immune and inflammatory responses, especially pathological responses and sterile inflammation. Our current research activities are mainly focused on understanding how immune and inflammatory responses are set in motion and controlled, and how we control the abnormal immune and inflammation associated with diseases including cancer. Some latest research topics are tumor immuno-microenvironment and cancer immunotherapy, Immune Check point molecules, oxidative stress and HIFs, and damage-associated endogenous molecules. Our lab is now putting great emphasis on the crosstalk between cancer and immune cells, the interdependence of hypoxic stress and immune responses, and adoptive immunotherapy including CAR-T.
