Coordinator Officer

Lanssina TO has over five years of experience in nuclear energy, focusing on education, security, non-proliferation, and the climate-nuclear nexus. He recently led with the team the first edition of NewComers4Nuclear Summer School, a two-week program featuring experts from IAEA, WINS, and the World Nuclear Association. As a negotiator for Burkina Faso at COP27 and COP28, he brings expertise in climate and scientific diplomacy. Lanssina is the founder and president of Young Generation in Nuclear, a member of African Young Generation in Nuclear, and organizes weekly webinars to empower youth in nuclear advocacy. He also founded Women in Nuclear Burkina Faso and STEM initiatives. Academically, he holds a diploma in technology, a DESS in SME management, and is pursuing a Master’s in project management. His certifications include radioprotection, nuclear disarmament, GEANT4 simulation, and Pan-African nuclear energy training. He actively contributes to global security through the African Research and Innovation Hub for Nuclear Disarmament Verification.

Operating Officer

Florencia is from Mexico and she is a nuclear scientist and engineer with over 8 years of experience in the global nuclear industry. She is an innovation co-leader of Women in Nuclear Innovation (WiNI) Group of Expertise of WiN Global. Her area of expertise in Nuclear Industry is Nuclear Core design. Since 2017 until the present, she has been participating in the Technical Cooperation fellowship programs at International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for Supporting Nuclear Power Infrastructure Capacity Building in Member States Introducing and Expanding Nuclear Power. She is the former technical secretary of the Mexican Network for Education, Training and Nuclear Research (REMECIN). Florencia serves as a scientific advisor at different NGOs in the nuclear industry like AJENM, WiN Young Generation, RPNS-YN and NAYGN. She is a reviewer of Nuclear Science Journal at Science Publishing Group from New York, USA. She completed her Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering in Mexico (2016) at Instituto Tecnologico de la Laguna. After that, she continued her Master's studies in Nuclear Power Plant Engineering in South Korea (2017-2019) at KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS). She finished her Ph.D. in Nuclear Science and Technology in China (2019-2023) at Harbin Engineering University (HEU) in the specialty of Advanced Reactor Physics. She worked in the developers' team of the High-Fidelity Neutron Transport (HNET) code in HEU.

Eva Gyane is a senior nuclear professional with more than 40 years’ experience in the nuclear field at the international and national levels, having worked at IAEA as a nuclear safeguards inspector and in other positions in the Department of Safeguards, as well as at the United Arab Emirate’s Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation as a senior nuclear export control specialist. At the IAEA, she was the Senior Inspector for Implementation Coordination in the Iran Task Force, overseeing the work of inspection teams during preparations for the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Ms. Gyane is actively involved in Women in Nuclear (WiN) Global, where she holds the position of Technical Leader and leads the group “WiN for Peace”. She was the President of WiN IAEA from 2009 to 2016. Ms. Gyane holds an MBA from the Economic University of Vienna, a BSc (Hon) in Physics and Chemistry from the Open University and an MSc (Hon) in Nuclear Science and Technology from Manchester University.
