What the Rushworth is about

This is a Knockout Cup competition - currently handicapped (earlier years were not handicapped and included men's and ladies' singles).  All clubs in the Federation are eligible to play in this competition (previously just those with Mixed teams were eligible, but the AGM 2009 approved opening the this up to all clubs, to increase competition). 

Matches consist of level and mixed doubles (following the format on the score sheet) with a handicap being awarded to one club via a sealed envelope (sent to the Secretary of the home team) which is opened at the end of the match or more recently by telephone on the night.

Results will be added here as rounds are played.  The draw and latest results are listed below.

Note for handicapping purposes: teams will be assumed to be the same players as last year or those who played in earlier rounds unless nominations have been sent to NBF Results Secretary (due by 30 Sept at the very latest).  If there are any significant changes to your team members then please let NBF Secretary know in good time so that any change to the handicap can be considered.

In 2021/22 this was played as a one night reduced format team event, not run in 2022/23 but it is likely that we will run the event similarly as a one-night competition for 2023/24.
