To help those looking at planning travel, accommodation, etc we are using the same playing venues as in recent years and there may be some (limited) travelling for teams between these venues over the weekend:

• Ross Peers Sports Centre (College Close, Soham, CB7 5HP)

• Burwell Community Sports Centre  (Buntings Path, Burwell, Cambs, CB25 0DD)

• Newmarket Leisure Centre (Exning Road, Newmarket, CB8 0EA)

• Mildenhall Hub (Sheldrick Way, Mildenhall, Bury St Edmunds, IP28 7JX)

Also on Saturday night... we hope many of you will join us again for food and drink from 7pm upstairs at “Wildwood” located at 29 High St, Newmarket, CB8 8LX with ample parking nearby.

What the International tournament is about    

This event has been running since 1994 (although due to Covid we missed 2021 and 2022 was run in June).  See archive and Facebook for previous year's results.

Designed to emulate, at home, the experience that NBF players had enjoyed when traveling abroad to play in tournaments - it is therefore an intensive, competitive and enjoyable weekend of badminton which should stretch, develop and most likely hurt.  

The  format is teams of four (2 men's and 2 ladies') playing level and mixed doubles.  Players may also enter individually and we can make up teams.   Teams are grouped by playing standard equivalent to the (old) Belgian Categories B1, B2, C1 and C2.  JH to update with new numbers plus description

Various venues are used for the matches and usually a Saturday night social - details of these are on the entry form - JH to update.
