After crossing the Bow River, keep right to exit on to 18 St SE. Take the left lane to circle under 18 St SE, and then go north to the T-intersection at 66 Av SE. This time, turn right (E) and go one full block to 19 St SE. Turn left (N), and go two blocks to Millican Rd. There, turn right (NE) and go to Ogden Road. On Ogden, turn left (N), and soon after crossing under the RR Line, turn left (W) onto the first roadway (unmarked) [but just before the green 50Av sign] and wind your way down to the second parking lot.
From the North, you can also access this park by coming S on Barlow Trail, turning right onto 50 Av SE, then right again onto Ogden, then almost immediately right into the park.

The trail climbs ~ 250 - 300 m., with some rather steep up and down sections. The vistas are very rewarding. Lunch at a high point with a 270 degree view. There should be lots of wildflowers. Mon Oct 13 (Thanksgiving) 8:30am: at the Cross Conservation Area. Go 1.6 km west of the City limit (85th St. SW) on Hwy 22X, then left/south onto 160th St. for 1.6 km. Covering the Chevron Aspen and Fescue Trails, approx. 7 kms. of moderately strenuous hiking (5 hills). Sign-in at the parking lot requires a $2 deposit per person. Bring water, snacks, camera & rain gear. Interested participants should contact me in advance by email or phone.
