Sublevel: 0 (2024)
Sublevel: 0 is my Final Year Project at Staffordshire University focusing on delivering an engaging cinematic gameplay experience. This project showcases my understanding of game cinematography and directing through a short 5 minute playable game that takes the player into the shoes of a Swat Unit Officer, code name "Five2" tasked with locating and reporting on an unknown situation within the sub levels of the cities subway system.

Tech
Creating a polished character controller with relevant gameplay mechanics and controls.
Developing a system for the characters camera using dynamic functions that work with gameplay mechanics.
Creating a Quick-Time Event System which contains at least three Quick Time Events that can be played within the game.
Designing a Technical Design Document for the project which includes IA Diagrams, Wireframes, and storyboards showing how the different systems will work within the game.
Creating all UI elements and systems including a dynamic 3D Main Menu that transitions camera perspectives.
Implementing my own camera animations to be used within the dynamic camera system
Design
Designing all story and cinematic plans for the project including camera work for the sequencer cutscenes within the project as well as seamless transitions from gameplay to cutscene.
Crafting an engaging and compelling story plot with a written script for character dialogue.
Implementing and designing the overall atmosphere for the game using post processing effects, particle systems, and lighting.
Extras
Implementing my own Voice acting as well as recording sounds for creature noises and character dialogue.
Meshing and building the location of the game.
Planning and tracking project development stages throughout the project.
QA and Testing the game for bugs.
Optimisation of the project.
