I completed my entire education in Peru, from kindergarten to high school. I studied in "IEP AP" (a Peruvian high school) in which I finished my studies in the first place every year of my high school, with a GPA of 17.47 (20.00 scale), with a special mention for having obtained the best grades among the grades of 9th, 10th and 11th, being me in 9th taking 11th classes. I graduated from high school in December 2018.
I was a student at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, in the Professional School of Public Economics where I completed 3 semesters of Public Economics, a career that caused me a lot of interest during that time.
In my third semester I was part of the upper third and I was part of a project that sought to improve "SUM", a platform for registering university classes.
During my first semester at Salt Lake Community College I maintained a major in Economics. After finishing the semester I realized that although I liked the major, I didn't see myself pursuing a degree in the future, so after thinking about it I switched to Psychology.
I was admitted to the honors program in June 2023 and during the Fall 2023 semester I began taking my first Psychology course (PSY1010) and an honors course (HON2211), that semester meant a lot to me, since the courses I was going to take caused me a lot of interest.
I started painting at the beginning of 2020, it was one of the activities that I liked doing the most, it helped me keep my mind busy during the period of isolation due to COVID-19. I started imitating well-known paintings, some of which I made in Simpsons-version.
Movies
"I'd rather people feel a film before understanding it. I'd rather feelings arise before intellect."
- Robert Bresson
I couldn't say exactly at what age I fell in love with cinema. Since I was little I watched movies with my parents, and as I grew older I began to discover more movies that became my favorites, some of which changed my way of seeing life. Both my mother and my father contributed to my appreciation of cinema, thanks to my mother I learned about several cult films, and thanks to my father I began to analyze the films, and see beyond them.
My mother contributed a lot to my love of reading, especially classic books. Currently, I really like reading books about psychology and self-help. I don't have a favorite author, but one book I definitely recommend is Wuthering Heights.
""I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music."
- Billy Joel
I love music, I don't have a favorite genre, the type of music I listen to depends on my mood. I started doing karaoke as a form of therapy, when I'm sad to feel better and when I'm happy to feel even happier. I don't have a favorite artist or genre, but two songs that I would recommend are Mañana Será Bonito by Karol G and Contigo Perú written by Augusto Polo Campos.
