Our riding program is quickly growing and offers multiple opportunities throughout the year. Our focus is on sportsmanship and horsemanship, rather than ribbons. To participate in the Nassau 4-H riding program youth must own or lease a horse. Horses can be shared among two youth if needed. Official forms are due to the office by December 31st each year. Clinics are held throughout the spring and the Area North Show is held in Clay County. There is also a state and regional horse show for those who qualify. Youth do not have to show to participate in the riding program. In fact, most of our work is done as a small clinic group having fun and encouraging one another to grow. The Horse Record book is required of all riders, regardless if they show. Contact Ms. Kelsey for more details.
Join our official EQUESTRIAN RIDING TEAM and also get team "swag" this year including halters for your horses. Applications are $75 for the first rider!
