The Nassau County 4-H Association is a strategic advisory team comprised of volunteers, stakeholders, members, alumni, and community partners that work together to advise agents on support, development, and success of Nassau County 4-H. Our goal is to have representation from all ages, genders, geographic, and socioeconomic status within Nassau County within our advisory council.
The 4-H Association meets four times annually with representatives attending an additional two meetings for the Nassau County Overall Extension Advisory. Additionally, the Association is responsible for overseeing financial decisions, allocating funds, directing fundraising opportunities, adherence to State/County/National policies such as affirmative action, establishing community partnerships, and provide program guidance to agents. The 4-H Association also dictates specific changes or amendments to policies like Fair Points.
We work closely with the Association to keep Nassau County 4-H successful, impactful, and the right fit for our community.
