Nassau County 4-H

Enrollment for the 2023-2024 year open NOW in 4-H Online 2.0

Welcome to 4-H!

Please use this website as your first step to learning more about joining our 4-H family. Nassau County 4-H offers a variety of opportunities that aims to help your youth grow their interests while learning life skills.

4-H is a non-profit educational program available to all youth ages 5-18 throughout all of Nassau County. We offer programs in a variety of subjects both in and out of schools including: animal science, leadership, emergency preparedness, community service, art, archery, environmental science, and more!

We have community run clubs by background screened volunteers, workshops and clinics on many subjects, host competitions, and offer scholarships.

What are life skills?

Life skills are the foundation all 4-H programs use to teach, no matter what the topic! We believe the importance of learning is a whole-youth approach rather than being just project specific. We encourage all our members to use their interests to guide them on a journey of learning and our volunteers to foster the "bigger picture" into each opportunity.

To learn more about life skills and how we apply this to our everyday programs you can read about them HERE.
