My name is Md Naim Islam, an enthusiastic Bangladeshi early-career academic, working as a Lecturer in English at Daffodil International University, Bangladesh. Besides, I am pursuing my MPhil degree at the University of Dhaka. I hold a BA (in English) and MA (in Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching -ELT with the Research Methodology course) from the same department and university. 

Over the past years, I have been working on several research projects, including my MA research, an ongoing MPhil project, and many other studies.

My key research interests include Multimodality, Critical Discourse Analysis, Digital and Internet Language discourse, Social media discourse, Social semiotics, Memes, trolls, and humour Studies, Sociolinguistics, Culture, and AI & ELT.
