This guide is currently under construction, so expect multiple incomplete pages, messy pages, and multiple errors
Just so you don't think all the information on my guide is bullsh*t, here are the non-exhaustive ways I've looked up machines and how I calculate the rarity scale.
It all started off when I revived my childhood interest in laundromats back in September 2023. I basically Googled laundromats within a specific city or whatever. I combine the total amount of a specific machine in every location I've researched and I come to a conclusion on how popular it is. Here is an example (or rather a summary), since a lot of laundromats have Speed Queen rigid mount washers with Quantum Gold or some Dexter C/A-Series washers, they would be rated a 1/8 due to how popular they are.
The list of sources are in complete variation. Basically the vast majority of sources are primary sources directly from the manufacturer. This is my non-exhaustive list of sources:
For machines currently in production:
Manufacturer's websites
Manufacturer's product sheets and brochures
Images of the machines themselves
For machines no longer in production produced past the late 1990's:
Manufacturer's websites via Internet Archive
Manufacturer's product sheets and brochures via Internet Archive
Images of the machines themselves
For machines no longer in production produced prior to the late 1990's:
Manufacturer documents on the existing manufacturer websites if they have them
Images of the machines themselves
