Description of the museum
In this museum you can find six of the most important works of Urbino, a magnificent art centre, that is located in the Marches. The art works are ordered chronologically and according to their placing. In the first room you can see the works made in 1416 and located in the “Oratory of Saint John the Baptist”. In the second room you can see the works that are placed in the famous Ducal Palace of Urbino. In the last room there is a work realized by Domenico Giannotti, in the 18th century.

This painting belongs to the stories of Sant John’s life. You can see the neophytes in the water of the Jordan river and the Baptist, with a bowl, pouring the water on their head. Behind the Baptist there is crowd of people dressed in long dresses with very bright colors.
