Description of the museum
Welcome to the museum curated by Tulipani Elisa, Serrandrei Viviane and Papi Esther, in Urbino. Our museum is a collection of paintings and his main theme is the angel. The works were painted from 1445 to about 1604. There is only one room. It is big and broad. it reminds to Italian culture and the fundamental colors are blue,white and black. The paintings are chronologically arranged.
The most important painting is “The profanation of the Host” by Paolo Uccello, painted around 1467/1468. We think this painting is the most beautiful and interesting one of the whole collection. Now let’s have a look at our the collection. It is a trip through time, art and religion.
The profanation of the Host

The painting includes six episodes:
1.A woman is giving a Jewish man a consecrated Host. In the background there is a chimney with the symbols of Jewish people.
2.The Jewish is burning the consecreted Host. The host bleeds and this catches the attention of the guards.
3. The Procession of religious people is going towards the altar, to the consecreted Host.
4.The guards are seizing a woman. In the background there is a ladder against a tree for the hanging.
5. A Jewish family is being condemned to the stake
6.There are two angels and two devils and they want the woman’s soul.
