Description of the museum
Are arranged in three groups according to their styles:
1.Impressionism
2. Macchiaioli
3. Expressionism
IMPRESSIONISM
The first group is divided in further three groups:
- Dance : → “Dancer sitting" → “The star or the Dancer on stage”
- Pubblic life: → “Caffee, says Absinthe”
- Private life: → “Woman with hairdress”
All the pictures are painted by: Edagar Degas.
MACCHIAIOLI
The “Macchiaioli” were born around the middle of 1800 in Florence. The name “Macchiaioli” comes from their pictorial language characterized by stains of colour.
EXPRESSIONISM
Expressionism is a language that tells us the dramatic interior expression of the world. This art is marked by the deformation of the figures with very strong color contrast.
