The Cuban Baseball Museum at the iconic Latinoamericano Stadium is a real hall of Fame of the Cuban Baseball. The museum makes a summary of the Cuban Baseball History and honors the most relevant Cuban Baseball players.
The Latinoamericano Stadium is the third largest baseball stadium in the world by capacity. It was built in 1946 as the top baseball park in Latin America. The stadium was visited by Barack Obama in 2016 during an exhibition game between the Cuban National Team and the Tampa Bay Rays.
This project is an initiative centered around Jorge Luis Barcelán, a Cuban baseball player nicknamed "El Torito" (The Little Bull). He is a prominent figure in Cuban baseball, having played in the Cuban National Series (with teams like Industriales and Mayabeque) and internationally (including in Italy's Serie A). The project aims to leverage his history and career, which featured both challenges and notable achievements, to inspire young athletes.
This three-hour activity will blend cultural insight with practical baseball instruction, taking place at the El Toro Barcelán Project location or the "Juan Ealo" Little League Stadium. The athletic portion will kick off with an initial warm-up, followed by intensive baseball practice that includes batting practice in stations and instruction on fielding fly balls. The day will culminate with the "tercer tope" (third scrimmage), played with mixed teams to maximize cross-cultural interaction and celebrate the diplomatic and athletic skills gained throughout the program.

We will end the day with a visit to the historic 9pm cannon firing, an icon of Habana’s history and time keeping. Every night, precisely at the 9 o’clock hour, a cannon is fired from across Havana’s Bay in the Cabaña Fortress. This visit allows us to learn about Havana’s colonial history and appreciate the modern-day ritual that used to signify the evening closing of the city walls and bay.
This three-hour session at the "Juan Ealo" Little League Stadium will focus on advanced team-action training, specifically coordinating the movements of pitchers, catchers, infielders, and outfielders. The practical component will include an initial warm-up, followed by rotations of drilling exercises and dedicated review drills: a concentrated session on pitching mechanics for pitchers, a review of base-running techniques, and a refresher of the batting stations. The participants will then engage in live batting on the field before concluding the program with the "cuarto tope" (fourth scrimmage), played with mixed teams, as well.

The final session of the program, held at the "Juan Ealo" Little League Stadium, will focus on celebration and final observations. The activity will begin with an initial warm-up, followed by the "quinto tope" (fifth scrimmage) featuring mixed teams, providing one last opportunity for the children to play and practice diplomacy through sport. Following the game, the session will transition into the closing ceremony, during which final observations will be shared and awards will be presented to the most outstanding players, officially concluding the program.
