Heritage Japanese Language Learning Group in Iowa
MUSUBI is a grassroots Japanese heritage language group. We aim to create connections through Japanese language learning for children living outside of Japan. We also function as a platform for the parents and the supporters of other local grassroots Keishougo* groups like MUSUBI.
Heritage Japanese Language Education Group operates as a part of the Language School committee under the the umbrella of Japan America Society of Iowa (JASI).
Based in Iowa, USA, MUSUBI serves as a community where children and parents from both within and outside the state come together to support each other.
*What we call 'Keishougo' is different from 'mother tongue' or 'foreign language' in the language education field. MUSUBI is the group for Keishougo kids and their guardians or supporters.
