This is a podcast about April Balascio, age forty, came forward and alerted police (and podcasters, apparently) about her suspicions that her father was probably a serial killer.
From the beginning, I was frustrated with April. She had a frail and baby-like voice that irritated me from the second she first spoke. It put me on edge, that maybe she wasn't taking the case as seriously as she should have. I don't believe her story that she never had suspicions until she was forty. I think her entire family, especially her mother, were asleep at the wheel their entire lives, refusing to believe what was clearly in front of them. I understand that a lot of it is probably due to the abuse. There were probably a lot of psychological damage from the control Edward had on his family.
