Your support goes directly to youth in Uganda. They have the energy and willpower to be successful if you can help with the resources. A few dollars goes a long way toward education and a foundation for a successful life. Books, computers, paper and pens, textbooks, and other resources all can go a long way. You can also direct your support toward certain projects like the computer center or the school. We have a good foundation already, but maintenance and new books make sure we stay available for kids. You can find specific budget needs on each program page.
Please consider a one-time or monthly donation. On the donation page (stripe.com), you may designate a specific program like the computer center or beekeeping for your donation to support. Or leave it blank for MYHO to determine the best use.
Donation Processing:
While these are charitable donations, MYHO is not a registered tax exempt organization, so donors may not be able to claim tax exemption. Other locations on the site, designated for specific programs, like Go Fund Me, may have other exemption statuses. This is not legal advice and donors are responsible for final determination of tax/exemption status.
Donations to MYHO are processed in the USA by First Things First LLC (FTF) using the Stripe payment processing system. FTF collections donations to be wired to Uganda using World Remit. World Remit is an international wire service trusted by MYHO and residents in Uganda to reliably transfer funds. Stripe is a top-tier payment processor made available by FTF. FTF is a consulting firm managed by Jason Torpy, who is also President of the Military Association of Atheists & Freethinkers and prior board member of the American Humanist Association and Secular Coalition for America. FTF provides this service at no charge (though merchant fees, normally 3%, are deducted).
