The Hemkunt Foundation is an NGO that has been helping people for years. Their work started with a small project of running free schools in three districts of Delhi. Now, 11 years later, they have over 12 projects to help people around India and across the world. The projects include farmer’s protest relief, COVID relief, small solutions to help resolve global warming, making schools and educational academies for lower socio-economic communities, and more in the past. In the current situation, they are providing support to informal workers and the underprivileged who are the backbone of the economy. While some of us may have the luxury of sitting at home and being safe, others do not and the Hemkunt Foundation has been helping these people and families. They have set up a COVID relief fund and helped 50 Sikligar and Vanjara Sikh Families in MP, distributed over 3000 ration items to underprivileged families and distributed over 30,000 food packets in Delhi NCR. Not only this, but during these testing times, they have had oxygen relief funds where they are constantly helping COVID patients who can not afford or do not have oxygen cylinders and/or concentrators available around them.
